Apple Oreo Cookie Pops - Back to School

Next week in México all the cool kids are getting back to school… Perhaps in your country will be in two or three weeks more or even sooner, thing is that we can make this new school year extra special for the kids by making these Apple Oreo Cookie Pops!, can you imagine? they are covered in candy melt, taste great and are a beauty… ideal for sweeten the teacher’s first day and encourage your little ones to love school with these cuties.

I never came with a bright red apple to my teacher’s desk and I still know a couple of friends that never gave teachers any presents either, or maybe for my generation wasn’t so usual that practice… or perhaps our moms were such weirdoes hahaha… the point is that a lot of my girlfriends have children now and they talk about back to school gifts for teachers and so… and these Apple Oreo Cookie Pops are a great option, because they’re easy-to-do, is an inexpensive present and really, they would appreciate by far a homemade treat than anything in the world because homemade always feel genuine. The kids could definitely help you, I’ll be a ceaseless advocate for the kids, food and kitchen never to be apart… if we, since childhood are invited to participate in any of the food making process I’m sure we are bound to love food, real food! And this is equal for boys and girls, huh! n_n

These Apple Oreo Cookie Pops are super easy to do, you’ll need very few ingredients as you can see, if you can’t get the cacao nibs you can use small pieces of pretzel… or even a little drop of melted milk chocolate for the stems. Oreos are optional too, you can use any type of cookie you love, you can even make rounded shortbread cookies for these red Apple Oreo Cookie Pops and begin the new school year at the fullest. I used Oreos because their basically easy to find in any supermarket and because their so tasty and rich in flavor… I mean who doesn’t love Oreos, seriously? Again, if candy melts are not that common in your country you can definitely use red seasonal white chocolate chips, and obvs is the same procedure to melt them ;-)

Hope these Back to School Cookie Pops to inspire you and your kids to play more with food, at least for me the strongest bonds are made within the kitchen :3
