Plum Clafouti

Here I come again!!!!!  I'm back on the blog.
We are in full summer and the plums are in season, so today I bring you guys this classic French dessert, with a fresh touch,  Plum Clafouti with a lemon and vanilla touch, it is a perfect light dessert if you want to eat with a big scoop of ice cream or eat all alone.

Plum Clafouti

8 ripe plums
1 cup of heavy cream
1/3 cup of  flour
1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons  of sugar
Zest of 1 lemon + juice
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
3 eggs

If you find yellow lemons, use them, they taste less strong than the limes (the green ones) and will give your preparation a different aroma, more subtle and fruity.

Pre heat  the oven to 180 ° C. Covers a Le Creuset skillet with the butter and 2 tablespoons of  sugar, remove the excess of sugar and reserve.

In a medium bowl, mix the sugar with the flour, zest and lemon juice, vanilla and cream, then add the eggs and stir until  smooth, lump-free mixture.

Cut the plums in half and seeded,  arrangen it in the skillet and pour the dough gently. Bake for 35-40 min. Sprinkle with icing sugar if you like.
